Second Chance to Live

Empowering the Individual, Not the Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injury — A Call To Honor

May 26, 2007 By Second Chance to Live

I am glad you decided to stop by and visit with me. I received a video clip from my Mom recently. I want to share the video with you, my readers. I appreciate your friendship and loyalty. Regardless of where you stand on the conflicts that are brewing around the world, please take the time to watch this video.

Lizzie Palmer who put this YouTube program together is only 15 years old. There have been over 3,000,000 hits as of this morning. In case you missed it, here it is. The link below is the hottest thing on the internet and on Fox News today. http://www.youtube.com/v/ervaMPt4Ha0&autoplay=1

And then write your congressman and senators and demand that they step up to the plate and honor our soldiers who honor us. Ask them to get busy in providing legislation that will provide the necessary funding to support soldiers with traumatic brain injury. Also demand that they provide the necessary rehabilitation resources for those soldiers. Ask them to step up to the plate and provide the best possible medical support and long term rehabilitation services for those soldiers.

I am a traumatic brain injury survivor and I have an invisible disability. To the medical community I ask, please do not in correctly diagnose our brain injured soldiers. Brain injury rehabilitation is not a short term process. Honor our soldiers through providing the best possible short and long term cognitive and psycho/social treatment and support. They honored our country, now honor them!

Please read my post, Living with a traumatic brain injury

Thank You Very Much!
