Second Chance to Live

Empowering the Individual, Not the Brain Injury

Because I Know — Solutions for Living

May 16, 2007 By Second Chance to Live

Welcome back and to Second Chance to Live. I am glad you decided to stop by and visit with me. I want to share something with you that provides strong encouragement, enthusiasm and motivation. I am so excited by this reality. I am not alone.

I do not have to figure out, control or manipulate to find my way. I don’t have to worry about tomorrow or fret about next week. I can depend upon the God of my understanding to direct my steps. I can trust the process and know that life is good. I can find a way, where there is no way. I do not have to get bogged down by what I do not understand. I am in time, but I am not limited by time. Instead, I arrive on time.

The Knowing

I am grateful to be alive today. I am grateful to be able to learn from all my experiences, whether I am in a relationship or not in a relationship. As I learn from what I am being taught, more opportunities seem to become apparent. These opportunities become the springboard that launches me toward hope. These opportunities are what my heart longs for in this life.

Consequently, I find myself anticipating new discoveries. My anticipation draws me forward. I am encouraged by each new discovery. My process brings joy to my soul. With each new discovery, I am amazed. My soul seems to sing a new melody of hope that harmonizes with my spirit. The chorus washes over my being, refreshing the very fibers of my heart. My soul seems to flutter like a bird that flies high on a cool mountain breeze.

As each new day arrives on time, anticipation becomes the motivation that brings enthusiasm. In my enthusiasm a voice coaxes me to follow my heart. Although I am unaware, I am not daunted by the mystery that is hidden from my sight. In faith, I reach forward and begin to feel the texture of what lies in front of me. Slowly, but assuredly my eyes are opened to behold a tapestry that is taking shape. The threads of my experience and the fruit of my opportunities are now making sense. I am encouraged because I know that I am fulfilling my destiny, one day at a time.
