Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am happy you decided to stop by to visit with me. Thank you my friend. As I have mentioned before, I like quotes. Quotes remind me of things I already know or help me to connect the dots of what I am seeking to understand. I want to share one of those quotes with you.
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can not change it, change the way you think about it.” Mary Engelbreit
Experience has taught me that when I do not like some thing, I can do something. I can sit down with a piece of paper and pen and write about what I do not like. By writing down what I do not like, I can change the way that I see myself in respect of what I do not like. I find that as I am honest with myself, I open myself to new possibilities.
As I open myself to new possibilities, I open myself to possible solutions. By looking at possible solutions, I find that I am able to take steps to change my perspective. By changing my perspective, I am able to change the way in which I see myself with respect to what I do not like. By doing so, I am able to take myself out of feeling like a victim.
By taking responsibility for my perspective, I am able to change what I can. By changing my perspective, I am able to be empowered by changing what I do not like or by changing the way in which I think about what I do not like. By changing my perspective, I am able to grow in my ability to accept the things that I can not change.
Today’s Thought
Life presents you and I with challenges, obstacles and adversity. The good news is that those challenges, obstacles and adversities can be used to empower our lives. We can use a pen and paper to write about what we do not like. In the process, we can find solutions to change what we do not like or we change the way that we look at what we do not like.
In the process, we can stay clear of feeling like victims in our lives… because of what happens in our lives. In the process, we can live our lives as empowered beings … because of what happens in our lives.
