Growing up I heard that if you found a 4 leaf clover that you would have luck. So I looked among the grass, but never found one. So I thought I was out of luck. But, as I grew older I learned a valuable lesson.
How I respond to what happens in my life determines whether I experience luck. By learning and practicing one skill and one skill set a bazillion times, I find myself creating what “luck” could never provide.
Do I still believe in “luck”, yes, but I believe luck is created through preparation. Luck is something that I alone can prepare to (with a loving God’s leading, guidance and assistance) experience in my life.
“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity” Seneca
“I will prepare and someday my chance will come.” Abraham Lincoln
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Theodore Roosevelt
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau
