Hello family and friends of Second Chance to Live. Please share the below news with family and friends of Second Chance to Live. Thank you.

secondchancetolive.wordpress.com has been closed and moved to secondchancetolive.org

Background

On February 6, 2007 I created and launched Second Chance to Live on WordPress.com. For the next 8 1/2 years I wrote and published articles on  secondchancetolive.wordpress.com.

During the 8 1/2 years, when writing some articles I included links to previously written articles on secondchancetolive.wordpress.com. I included links to previously written articles on secondchancetolive.wordpress.com to provide further insight.

A little over a year ago,  a good friend helped me to move secondchancetolive.wordpress.com to a managed wordpress website. With the move to the managed wordpress website the website’s address secondchancetolive.wordpress.com changed to https://secondchancetolive.org/.

In the process of moving secondchancetolive.wordpress.com to new address http;//secondchancetolive.org/ I used a service called domain mapping. Once the domain mapping was complete I thought I no longer needed to continue to domain map articles from secondchancetolive.wordpress.com to secondchancetolive.org.

To Eliminate Confusion

Several weeks ago I noticed something that may have been creating some confusion. I noticed that people were opening articles on the old address,  secondchancetolive.wordpress.com; instead of on the new address http://secondchancetolive.org. To eliminate confusion and provide consistency I made the decision to close / delete the old address, secondchancetolive.wordpress.com. After closing / deleting https://secondchancetolive.wordpress.com/ I discovered that links within articles on the new website to the closed / deleted website address were no longer working.

After closing and deleting secondchancetolive.wordpress.com I discovered that the links within http://secondchancetolive.org to http://secondchancetolive.wordpress.com were no longer working.

Solution

When I discovered the links to articles on secondchancetolive.wordpress.com no longer worked, I looked for a solution. The solution that I found involved using the “search this site” feature on https://secondchancetolive.org/. What I discovered was that when I found an article connected to the old website address, I could find and read that article on the new website by using the “search this site” feature.

So, if you open a page with this message, secondchancetolive.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.; don’t be alarmed.

You can find and read the article once found on secondchancetolive.wordpress.com on secondchancetolive.org. by using the “search this site” feature. To use the search feature or “search the site”, enter the article title in the “search the site” box and then click enter. By clicking enter, a page will open with a list of article titles. Click on the desired article title and the article will open for you on secondchancetolive.org.

Click on the below image to see the “search this site” feature located on the top right of the page.

Enter Title of Article in Search Feature -- Top Right -- and Click Enter
I am sorry for the inconvenience. I am learning through the process.

Thank you!

Thank you for your patience. I am in the process of going through and replacing links. The process is ongoing. As questions come to mind, please send those questions to me.  All questions are good questions and welcomed. I look forward to hearing from you.

You have my permission to share my articles and or video presentations with anyone you believe could benefit, however, please attribute me as being the author of the article (s) video presentation (s), and provide a link back to the article (s) on Second Chance to Live. In the event that you have questions, please send those questions to me. All questions are good questions. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you. Copyright 2016.
