My Journey thus Far Part 6
I am so very grateful that I listened to my friend — who encouraged me to start a blog when he said, “Your material is ripe for a blog”. In my experience, I am so glad that I took the risk to learn to use and then develop my gifts, talents, and abilities in ways that work for me. In my experience, I am so glad that I put in the time and effort to be of service.
During the past 64 months, I have seen God open doors that have led to wonderful opportunities. Opportunities that have both encouraged my process and empowered my journey. The most significant of these opportunities has been that He has given me the privileged to walk with you as we have walked down the road that is –sometimes — less traveled. I have been both honored and humbled by your time and kindness. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to travel with you on this road. Thank you.
During the past 64 months, I have seen God open many other doors which have enabled Second Chance to Live to be introduced and incorporated by domestic and international academic institutions, hospitals, service organizations and brain injury associations. Among these institutions, hospitals, organization and associations, God has opened the door for articles from Second Chance to Live to be published. See my Publications and Honor page.
With the publication of these articles – both domestically and internationally — God has opened the door for me to be able to use my gifts, talents, and abilities in ways far beyond my wildest imaginations. Among these door have been three different educational consortium’s — nationally and domestically and internationally, several professional nurse — national and international — associations, the U.S. Army AW 2 Community Support Network to assist veterans and as a resource for national and international brain injury associations.
During the past 64 months, God has given me a huge opportunity to be involved in the lives of individuals both domestically and internationally — who like me — are living with a brain injury. God has given me a huge opportunity to be a part of the recovery process of families who have been impacted by a brain injury. God has given me a huge opportunity to be involved in the service care provision of professionals who seek to serve individuals, families and the caregivers of individuals who are living with brain injuries.
I am so glad that I took the risk to pursue my passions and to follow my dreams. My encouragement to you my friend is that you take the risk to pursue your passions through your gifts, talents, and abilities. God will open doors for you too — as you take the risk, put in the time and make the effort to be of service.
Please read the remaining Parts of the article: Part 7, Part 8 and Part 9 for context. Thank you.
