Experiencing normal after a brain injury can be both baffling and confusing. Baffling and confusing as we compare the way that we experienced normal before our brain injury with how we experience normal now.
In response to being baffled and confused, we may find ourselves feeling lost and vulnerable. Lost and vulnerable as we attempt to make sense of and experience normal in our lives.
Let me share some good news with you.
Through my brain injury recovery process I discovered that I could take steps to empower my definition of normal. My definition of normal after my brain injury that gave me hope and the ability to create a good life.
What Helped me to Empower my Definition of Normal after my Brain Injury
In my experience, I discovered that I needed to let go of my definition and concept of normal (before my brain injury) to empower a new definition and concept of normal (after my brain injury).
A definition of normal that would give me the ability to create and excel with my own genius.
