Welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am glad you decided to stop by and rest. I always enjoy our times together. You are a special person and a blessing to me. I am glad that I am able to share my life with you. My journey has taught me wonderful lessons and I enjoy sharing them with you. Drop me a comment and I will email you back. You don’t have to isolate.
One particular lesson that I want to share with you tonight involves the topic of motives. My motives can either enhance my life or set me up to be abused by my actions. If I am planning or participating in activities with specific outcomes in mind I may be setting myself up to be disappointed and discouraged. When my motive is to take life one day at a time, to participate in the footwork and then to trust the God of my understanding with the outcomes, I find comfort in my process. I am released from the burden that comes from trying to force solutions. As I live my life on life’s terms I open myself to the freedom that my soul longs to experience. When I chose to learn from my circumstances I am set free to fly like a bird that has been released from a cage. As I take advantage of my opportunities my spiritual legs are strengthened so that I can run like a gazelle, unfettered by cynicism. As I let go of outcomes, I am able to rest in the assurance that a gentle shepherd is leading me.
You may not understand why you have been given the opportunity to learn from your circumstances and experiences. You may not even approve of the pain that is in your process, my brothers and sisters, but be encouraged. You are being prepared for something beyond your wildest imagination. Good things are in the horizons of your life, not in your sunsets. You were not created to be a victim of your circumstances, your past or your disability. You and I were created to soar as an eagle far above the constraints of our understanding. You and I were created to fulfill a majestic plan. You and I were not created to live defeated by what is out of our control. You and I were infused with the breath of God that keeps breathing through all we encounter. Our destinies are mapped in triumphant jubilee. You and I can rise up out of the ashes of our discouragement.
We are at the dawn of hope. May we be expectant of the hope that is being created from the inside of who we are in this life. May we rejoice in the expectation of what is being worked out for our good. May we not be bogged down by what does not make sense to us. May we trust the process. May we find satisfaction in the moment. May we live our lives with the anticipation that comes through hope. May our destinies be wrapped in the knowledge of that hope. May hope live as a vibrant expression of our confidence. May we be set free in the spirit of our minds so that hope can have its perfect work in our lives and may we be encouraged by our hope.
