Brain Injury, Bullying, Becoming Aware and Owning Self-Acceptance — List of Articles

September 28, 2026 By Second Chance to Live

Introduction Over the course of 59 years after my traumatic brain injury, in 1967 at the age of 10, and for the past 36 years as a professional rehabilitation counselor I have come to gain understanding into how humans, human systems and now AI bully. In this article I share some of what I have learned and then provide a list of links to articles. Articles on bullying, … [Read more...]

September 22, 2026 By Second Chance to Live

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bullying through Computational Representation, Presentation and Asymmetrical Requirements infographic by Craig J. Phillips, MRC, BA, showing computational representation, presentation, default behaviors and asymmetrical requirements working together as one interconnected bullying relationship that consumes the individual’s finite human energy and reverses the purpose of support.

Why I Continued to Feel Wrong after My Brain Injury

Infographic titled “Why I Continued to Feel Wrong after My Brain Injury,” showing relationships among brain injury, the identified patient, labeling and stigmatization, human and AI systems, the unfolding individual, self-advocacy, dignity, hope and holistic recovery.

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.” Robert Frost "Believe in yourself, go after your dreams and do not let anyone put you in a box." Daya “Cherish your visions and dreams as they are the children of your soul: the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.” – Napoleon … [Read more...]

The Unfolding Individual: Why AI Architecture Must Stop Turning Computational Representation into a Container for Human Reality

September 7, 2026 By Second Chance to Live

Technical infographic titled “The Unfolding Individual: Why AI Architecture Must Stop Turning Computational Representation into a Container for Human Reality.” It shows an unfolding individual communicating with AI, followed by AI processing, computational representation that becomes obsolete as human reality continues unfolding, persistent representational traces, activation of default system behaviors, and representation gaining operational authority. A central closed architectural loop shows that whether the individual accommodates the system or self-advocates against the representation, the architecture is reinforced, creating a lose/lose power struggle. The infographic identifies asymmetry as an abuse of power and shows a reversal of service in which the individual increasingly serves the system that claims to serve the individual. The bottom emphasizes architectural change through trauma-informed care and a holistic orientation, affirms that the value of AI remains, and identifies longitudinal evidence and documentation supporting the model.
