Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. For the past month or so I have been thinking about getting some new business cards made to reflect and convey the mission of Second Chance to Live in one line. In the process of wanting to settle on such a statement, I have been praying, meditating and thinking about what I would like to convey in such a statement. Several days ago during my morning meditation, I received clarity.
Let me explain how I settled on this statement. As I reflected upon what brought me to my current place in time – with what I am doing through Second Chance to Live – I found a consistent and recurring motif. The motif or pattern has helped me to understand how the events, circumstances, experiences, opportunities, as well as the disappointments, discouragement and disillusionment have all contributed to and factored into how I am able to pursue my dreams and my destiny today.
The statement that I settled upon for my company message is, “One Piece at a Time”.
In retrospect, I have come to realize that my life is formed by the sum of the pieces that have become part of my process through each experience. What I have discovered is that each piece of my experience has come together to help me to make the best use of prior experiences in my present. What I have discovered — through my process — is that by making best use of my experiences in my present, I am being led to both my dreams and my destiny – one experience, one piece at a time.
Today’s Thought
Give me the wisdom to learn from what has and is transpiring in my life. Give me the grace to make best use of my past to fulfill my present. Help me trust that the pieces of my experience are being formed to fit together. Help me to trust in the timing of the fitting together of those pieces. Help me to be of service through each piece of my experience. Lead me in the direction of my destiny. Amen.
