As I have shared many times, I do not believe there are silver bullets or magic potions in brain injury recovery. In my keynote presentation Empowering Current and Future Leaders in Brain Injury Recovery and Rehabilitation to Empower Self-advocacy in Individuals Living with Brain Injuries, given to Harvard University students, I shared what I believe.
I believe that encouraging a holistic approach to an ongoing brain injury recovery is essential. Essential for the medical community, providers and those working with individuals living with the impact of brain injuries to encourage them. To encourage those individuals to actively engage in their own ongoing holistic brain Injury recovery process.
I have written 19 eBooks to share insights that have and continue to help me to be actively engaged to in my own ongoing brain injury recovery process. To own my power in my ongoing brain injury recovery process. That have given me the ability to move beyond feeling like the proverbial deer “caught in the headlights.” Feeling like a “proverbial deer in the headlights” as an individual living with the impact of a brain injury. Feeling isolated and alienated from other people and even from myself.
One of these eBooks is, Living with a Brain injury and Learning to Take Care of Ourselves in Mind, Body, Spirit, Soul and Emotions: We are More than Our Brain injury eBook. I believe the information in the eBook will enhance support group leaders to have insight. Insight that will help them to be more empathetic and effective beyond solely being support group facilitators. The information will help them, also, as they go forward in their careers working with individuals who have been impacted by brain injuries.
If you are a brain injury support group facilitator, I would encourage you to purchase a copy of this eBook on Amazon. Cost $5.99. Here is a link to the eBook: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWNJ9K6L
