Hope and the Progression of Living our Best Life after Brain Injury Presentation

After the presentation:

Christine Bailey Cleveland Clinic Edwin Shaw who asked me to present said

“Thank you Craig for presenting your message of HOPE to our COVID-19 Survivor Support Group! So appreciate the difference you are making in your presentations and sharing your story! Can’t thank you enough for taking your story and turning it into so many positives for other people. You do a GREAT job of interacting with the group and getting them to participate!”

Creating Hope is about a Process and a Journey, not a Destination.

Creating Focus

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Thomas A. Edison

“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” Albert Einstein

“History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking encounters before they triumphed. They won because they refused to be discouraged by their defeats.” B.C. Forbes

Abstract to the Presentation

I believe that an ongoing recovery process needs to involve the whole person. Involve the whole person in their process of creating hope in and through their mind, body, spirit, soul and emotions.

“It is not as important what happened to us, but how we respond to what happened to us.” Craig J. Phillips MRC, BA

“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” Carl Bard

Creating hope is about being an actor; rather than a reactor, to and in our lives.

Premise to Success

“Big things have small beginnings.” Prometheus

Inch by inch, life’s a cinch. Yard by yard, its very hard.

“Believe in yourself. Go after your dreams and do not let anyone put you in a box.” Daya

“When setting out on a journey, do not see the advice of someone who has never left home.” Rumi

“Those who danced were considered to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.” Angela Monet

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something is more important than fear.” Ambrose Redmon

“Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s okay. You’re here to live your life, not to make everyone understand.” Banksy
