The Backstory Behind My Brain Injury Recovery eBooks

On February 6, 2007, I launched Second Chance to Live to share hope and tools for living with the impact of a traumatic brain injury. Since then:

📄 2348 articles written

🎥 464 video presentations created

🎤30 keynote presentations developed (142 delivered across the U.S. via Zoom)

In 2015–2016, I published my first 12 eBooks—8 based on articles, 4 from videos—focused on holistic recovery topics like:

Self-advocacy after TBI

Building self-esteem

Understanding relationships post-injury

Embracing neuroplasticity

In 2022, I revised those eBooks and in May 2024, I made them available on Amazon Kindle. Since then, I’ve written 6 additional eBooks, making a total of 19 eBooks designed to support and empower brain injury survivors and caregivers.
