Background of Resilience

I sustained an open and depressed skull fracture, right frontal lobe damage, a severe brain bruise with brain stem involvement. This occured in a motor vehicle accident in 1967 when I was 10 years old. I was not expected to live the night of the accident. I also was not expected to succeed beyond high school academically. I went on the obtain my undergraduate degree in 10 years and my masters degree in 3 1/2 years.

About Page

I believe that there is tremendous power in identification. I believe identification, as opposed to comparison, empowers the individual.

Empowers the individual to break free from the shadows of isolation and from feelings of alienation.

Feelings of alienation from both other people and from themselves.

Hope

Using the Principles of Neuroplasticity to Create New Neural Pathways and Brain Reorganization

To enhance my recovery process, I have incorporated the principle of neuroplasticity through repetitive mirrored movements.

I have done so to increase my right and left brain’s, as well as the right and left-side of my body capacity to perform.

Please click on the below link to discover what I learned that enhances my recovery process:

Increasing Our Brain’s and Our Body’s Ability and Capacity to Thrive after Brain Injury Events and Major Physical Injuries

In August 2013 a friend of mine made a video presentation of the progress that I made using the principle of neuroplasticity. Other friends have helped me to make video presentations of my progress in each year since 2013.

Below are links to YouTube presentations of the progress made using repetitive mirrored movements. To watch the progress made using the principle of neuroplasticity over the past 5 years, click on the below links.
