Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. You are always welcome around my table. About a week ago I attended a support meeting and the topic of slogans came up. Slogans – in my understanding – are words or short phrases that contain principles that help to ground people in their recovery process. Slogans help me to remember what is important when I find myself frustrated, anxious, angry or fearful. Slogans in the process give me hope.
Below are a selection of slogans used by many recovery groups. I have also added a few of my own personal slogans – ones that I have discovered through my process that are particularly empowering to me. Take some time to read through and meditate on each of the slogans. You may find that what you discover will help you in your own recovery process – regardless of the path you find yourself walking my friend. The list is a sampling of slogans.
