Each day I am given a choice. Will I see myself as an someone living from one crisis to another, or as an individual empowered with resilience to learn from all my life experiences, including my disappointments, discouragement or disillusionment. Each day I am given the choice of being a victim or an empowered individual who seeks to learn from all my experiences. I need to remember that being a victim is more of a choice than a plight given to me.
When I chose not to learn from what is happening in my world I find myself volunteering for a bad day. I have heard it said and believe it to be so, there are no happy victims! Life is about a series of learning curves that are given to me with each new experience. I chose to be empowered when I decide to stay in the classroom of life. If I find myself wanting to play hooky, I need to remind myself I have the power to chose.
