Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to have you around my table. In today’s article I would like to encourage you with some thing that has and encourages me. This encouragement comes in the form of different quotes.
These quotes remind me that I can start over at any time. What may have previously worked for me, may no longer work. No worries. I can learn how to create in ways that work for me now. I can create and paint a different picture. A picture of hope. I can use many colors.
“Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” Zig Ziglar
This quote reminds me that I can forget what lies behind and move forward. The quote reminds me that I can choose to start now. The quote reminds me that I can begin to create and expand my abilities. The quote reminds me that through starting now, I can bring about different results in my life.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Once we start walking before long we will be able to look back and see how far we have come in our process and on our journey.” Craig J. Phillips MRC, BA
This quote reminds me that although the journey may seem so long, taking the first step counts. By taking the first step I give myself the ability to accomplish things that I may never have dreamed possible. The quote reminds me that as I keep moving I am assured that I will make progress.
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Theodore Roosevelt
This quote reminds me that I do not have to have everything to get started. I don’t have to be concerned with any destination. Instead, I can relish in my ability to do what I can for today. I can let go of the future. I can learn to develop what I am able to develop. I can grow where my feet are planted.
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.” Helen Keller
This quote reminds me that I do not have to compare myself to anyone. I do not have to keep up with anyone. I can instead celebrate who I am as an individual. I can focus on running my own race and staying committed to my own course. I can learn to use what I have in ways that will work for me.
“I walk slowly, but I never walk backward.” Abraham Lincoln
This quote reminds me that I do not have to do things quickly. Instead, I can move at my own pace. This quote reminds me that I do not have to compare myself with anyone else. This quote reminds me to keep the focus on myself. This quote reminds me to keep moving.
“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life you have imagined… you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau
This quote reminds me that I need to keep moving in their direction of my dreams. I need to think outside of the”box”. I need to stay committed to doing the footwork. I need to let go of the outcomes. I need to let go of the timing. I need to believe that I am being led. I need to trust the process.
I need to believe that I am not my brain injury. I need to believe that I am not limited by my limitations. I need to believe that my life matters. I need to believe that I can create a good life for myself. I need to believe that I can create hope. I need to believe that I can achieve my dreams. I need to believe that I can advance confidently. I need to believe that my efforts will meet with a success. I need to believe that I can create with many colors.

Hi Ken, …I can grow where my feet are planted gives me the freedom and reminder to be myself. I am reminded that I do not have to be anyone other than myself. I am given the freedom to be who I am and use the gifts, talents and abilities in ways that work for me. I am free from having to compare myself to anyone else’s process and journey, as I remember this concept. I appreciate you enunciating the concept in your comment Sir. Definitely some thing I need to remember too.Thank you for being who you are and growing where you have been planted on the res my friend. Have a great day Ken. Craig
