Over the course of the past week I have been working on several projects. These projects have involved setting up new themes for both Second Chance to Live and Create a Spark of Hope. In preparation to making this change I needed to reduce several hundred categories that I had used multiple times for 1430 articles during the course of the past 8 3/4 years. A friend of mine helped me start this process through creating a video presentation using Google Hangouts, which allowed me to watch him start the process. I was able to then refer back to the video presentation to convert several hundred categories to tags. After completing this conversion, I needed to create no more than 10-12 categories to assign articles.
After I completed the process of completing the process of converting categories to tags, designating 10-12 new categories and beginning to assign some of those articles to the new categories, the second part of the process began. My friend, through Google hangouts created a new video presentation in which he showed me how to set up and design the new theme on Second Chance to Live. After completing the video presentation, he sent me a link to continue with the process of completing the design in the new theme. To finish the design of Second Chance to Live in the new theme I re-watched the video presentation multiple times. The process of reassigning each of the 1430 articles to one category continues to be a tedious and meticulous process. Although time-consuming and tedious, I am enjoying the process and looking forward to completing the project of assigning each of the 1430 articles to one category.
Using the strategies provided by my friend, I worked to reduce the # of categories from 20 to 10 for my other website Create a Spark of Hope. After I completed this process, my friend loaded the new theme onto my Create a Spark of Hope managed wordpress website. After activating the new theme, I began to use the second video presentation to begin the process of designing Create a Spark of Hope. After working for 8 hours, following the pattern set forth by my friend in his video presentation; I completed the project. I am happy with the results and the time invested for both Second Chance to Live and Create a Spark of Hope. The change of theme — a magazine theme for both web sites — will now make both Second Chance to Live and Create a Spark of Hope mobile responsive, easily accessed and read using your smart phone and / or other mobile devices. I would subsequently invite you to visit and scroll down both home pages by visiting these links: Second Chance to Live and Create a Spark of Hope.
