Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to have you around my table. For the past several weeks I have felt led to write articles and have subsequently neglected making video presentations of my articles. Over the next several days I am going to create video presentations of the articles that I have recently written and published on Second Chance to Live.
In today’s article, I am introducing a video presentation of one of my recent articles.
In my experience and as I will share in this presentation, I have undergone 3 EEG’s and 2 Neuro Psychological Exams over the course of the past 47 years. The EEG’s and Neuro Psychological Exams verified the impact of the traumatic brain injury that I sustained when I was 10 years old. The results showed that I would probably not be able to succeed beyond high school academically. In 1993 I underwent another EEG and a Neuro Psychological Evaluation. In 1998 I was deemed, after a Department of Vocational Rehabilitation evaluation process; to be unemployable.
I am glad that I did not allow the findings and predictions of these tests and evaluations to dissuade me from following my dreams and learning how to use my passion through my gifts, talents and abilities in ways that would work for me. I am glad that I did not give up on the process, a loving God or myself, for I found that more would be revealed in time.
I wrote EEG’s, Neuro Psychological Evaluations and Brain Injury Recovery Outcomes and am making this video presentation of the article to encourage you, who may have also sustained a brain injury and have undergone EEG’s, Neuro Psychological Evaluations and Department of Vocational Rehabilitation evaluations; to not allow the findings of an EEG (s), a Neuro Psychological evaluation (s) or a Department of Vocational Rehabilitation evaluation process to discourage you from pursuing your dreams and learning how to use your passions through your gifts, talents and abilities in ways that will work for you.
Below is a brief excerpt from the article:
“An EEG (s) and a neuropsychological exam (s) can give us insight into how our brain and personality have been affected by the brain injury, but they do not have to define who we are my friend. We can live outside and beyond of the box that an EEG (s), a neuropsychological evaluation (s), a DVR evaluation (s) and their findings may communication to us. We can succeed far beyond all reasonable expectations, through sheer persistence, tenacity and motivation; by not giving up on our process, a loving God or ourselves. Move will be revealed to us in time. We can learn how to use our passions — through our gifts, talents and abilities — in ways that will work for us, for people who want what we have to give.
Consequently my friend:
We can run our own race, at our own pace. We can celebrate our efforts. We can map our own course, and be ourselves. We can live in hope and we can live our dreams.”
