When I am anxious about some thing I have found that it helps me to write it down. Once I have written on a piece of paper what I an anxious about, I need to ask myself several questions.
- Am I powerless over the issue that I am feeling anxious about at the present time? If the answer is yes, I need to let it go.
- If I ask the question and the answer is no, then I need to address what I am feeling anxious about through taking steps to change the things I can.
By asking these 2 questions and taking the steps to change the things I can, I experience empowerment. I experience increased self-esteem and self-respect.
