Second Chance to Live

Empowering the Individual, Not the Brain Injury

Do Not Give Up On Your Miracle

December 4, 2013 By Second Chance to Live

Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. Thank you. Earlier this evening I was going to share some thoughts on a radio program, however due to events that were out of anyone’s control I did not have the opportunity to share those thoughts. I feel led to share them in this article.

It is important to not give up regardless of what has happened to you. It is not as important as what has happened to us, but how we respond to what has happened to us.

Do not give up on hope. To give up is to say that hope does not exist. Reality is, hope never dies, unless we deny its existence.

Look for ways to use your passion — to follow your bliss. Only you can live your life.

Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Once a seed, then a spout, then a shrub and then a tree. Trees need deep roots and that takes time. Do not give up on your miracle. You will bear much fruit. Be assured of this reality my friend.

Keep looking to develop and grow as an individual in your body, soul and spirit. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Keep walking and before long will see how far you have come on your journey. Be encouraged with each step – figuratively or literally.

My Sensei shared in one of our classes, “Learn some thing new each day.”

You will learn how to combine the pieces of your experience with time. Don’t worry how the pieces of your experience are going to connect. They will!!!

“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life you have imagined…you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau

“You don’t have to be a person of influence to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things they’ve taught me.” Scott Adams American Cartoonist

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” Henry David Thoreau

“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.” William Arthur Ward

“A mistake is simply another way of doing things.” Katharine Graham

“A man begins cutting his wisdom teeth the first time he bites off more that he can chew.” Herb Caen

“We can’t know, until we know.” Craig J. Phillips MRC, BA
