Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. Thank you. In life we may encounter people, places and things that we feel powerless over. We may find that these people, places and things bring about anxiety and obsessive thinking into our lives. Consequently, we may feel that they need to be controlled and managed. In our struggle to control people, places and things we may find that our lives have become unmanageable.
In our unmanageability, we may find ourselves trying to control the uncontrollable. As we up our efforts to control the uncontrollable, we may find that our lives spin out of control. As our lives spin out of control, we may still believe that we can do something to control what is clearly out of our control. In our unmanageability our stress level, anxiety and obsessive thinking may bring us to a place where we feel like a dog chasing its tail. In our unmanageability we may find ourselves practicing insane behavior.
We may find ourselves practicing insane behavior, such as doing the same things over and over again expecting different results – with out getting different results. We may find ourselves like a dog with a bone that we have a hard time letting go of despite the insanity that the bone creates in our lives. In our struggle to not let go of the bone we may find ourselves trapped in a cycle that seems to never end. The cycle of obsessive thinking, insane behavior and unmanageability may lead us to feeling hopeless.
Our powerlessness, lapses into insanity and feelings of hopelessness may lead us to feeling helpless. Helpless over our ability to do anything about what is making our lives unmanageable.
