Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. A little over a week ago, I created the Second Chance to Live group on Face Book. The Second Chance to Live Group. In the process of creating the group, I sought to find an avatar or an image to convey what I wanted to accomplish through the group. In the process of searching for such an image I visited web sites with “royalty free” images.
After innocently uploading an image for the group and introducing the group here on Second Chance to Live – with the picture included – I did some research. In the process of conducting my research, I found some further information on the topic of using “royalty free” images. What I discovered was that most royalty free images are not free. I discovered that royalty free images come with a license fee that needs to be paid to use the images. Each images comes with a license.
License fees can range from $4.95 for web site low resolution images to hundreds of dollars depending on the size and the resolution desired. With the information, that I gained, I contacted the organization to pay the licensing fee to have the image remain on Second Chance to Live and on my Face Book group page. So in the event that you would like to use a royalty free image on your web site or Facebook page be aware that “royalty free” does not not mean free.
I hope the above information has been helpful to you. In the event that you have any questions, please ask. All questions are good question. Have a great day.
