With the encouragement of a a friend on February 6, 2007 I continued to build upon the foundation that had been laid. After doing extensive research I decided to create a blog on WordPress.com. With the encouragement of my martial arts instructor – Sensei – to name my blog with my mission and vision in mind I settled upon the name of Second Chance to Live.
Second Chance to Live provides practical solutions and strategies for living our lives on life’s terms, one day at a time — as we move toward our destinies. Second Chance to Live provides hope for anyone who has been touched by adversity. Second Chance to Live reminds us that our circumstances are meant to build us up, not to keep us down.
Because I was committed to the process of being of service through Second Chance to Live, as well as my desire to encourage, motivate, empower and instill hope in individuals I sought to use my gifts, talents and abilities in ways that would work for me. For the first 7-8 weeks – once I created Second Chance to Live — I worked at my own pace between 60-75 hours a week.
Because the world of the blog gave me the medium to share what I had to give with people who wanted what I had to give I devoted much of my time and energy to the process. I sought to become educated on the world of the blog, to create and write articles, answer emails, respond to questions and comments and to contact various individuals, organizations and associations world-wide.
After those initial 7-8 weeks I spent between 50-60 hours a week – at my own pace continuing to create, write articles for Second Chance to Live, become educated on the world of the blog, answer emails, respond to questions and comments and share the message of hope with individuals, organizations and associations both domestically and internationally over the next 38 months.
During the last 24 months I have spent between 40-50 hours a week working on all aspects of my blog – at my own pace — as shared above. The reason why I share the amount of time that I have devoted to Second Chance to Live is to encourage you with this reality. The reality is found with in time and effort. Being of service and following our bliss requires a commitment to putting in time and effort
Although I do not know how Second Chance to Live will be used in the future, I do know that I am committed to putting in the time and effort in a desire to be of service. I am seeking to do the footwork while trusting a loving God with the outcomes, as He alone has the BIG picture. Thank you for being a part of my process and journey with Second Chance to Live during the course of the past 64 months.
