Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. On April 21, 2010 I started a series, Traumatic Brain Injury and Creating Community. After writing Part 1 of the series I felt led to write another series, Traumatic Brain Injury and the Bully. After I completed that 7 Part series, I felt led to write another series, Traumatic Brain Injury and A Message of Hope, a 3 Part series.
I wrote Traumatic Brain Injury and the Bully and Traumatic Brain Injury and a Message of Hope because I believe the information is essential to being able to build true community.
As a traumatic brain injury survivor I found that I needed to understand what kept me feeling isolated and alienated from other people and myself. In my experience, I had to stop fighting against the bully and myself. In my experience, I had to learn how to accept myself before I could begin to have a relationship with myself, much less a relationship with anyone else. In the two series — about the bully and hope — I shared with you how I discovered myself.
Now that I completed the articles Traumatic Brain Injury and the Bully and Traumatic Brain Injury and A Message of Hope I am going to continue with this series, Traumatic Brain Injury and Creating Community. In the following Parts of this series I will share with you what I have found that enhances and empowers community. Along the way, I will point you to other web sites that are seeking to encourage and empower community among brain injury survivors.
Please read Part 3 for context. Thank you.
