Please read Part 1 for context. Thank you.
Identification encourages progress where as comparison specifies and demands outcomes. Identification celebrates small successes, whereas comparison minimizes and challenges. Identification encourages individuality and champions self-expression. Identification cultivates creativity. Identification empowers you and I to get up one more time, regardless of how many times we have fallen. Identification reminds us that with all learning there is a curve. Identification nurtures trust. Identification includes.
Identification encourages and motivates you and I to trust the process, a loving God and ourselves.
With identification individuality is not considered a threat. Status quo is dismissed. Self-respect, high self-esteem, and self-worth no longer need to be qualified. Value and ability is accepted at face value. Good is accepted as good enough. Alienation does not occur. Identification empowers and motivates. Identification musters enthusiasm in the face of any set back or discouragement. Identification breaks down the walls of isolation. Identification shares good fortune.
Identification seeks to reconcile. Identification promotes humility. Identification seeks to promote and practice love and tolerance. Identification encourages exploration and risk taking. Identification applauds hope. Identification frees my humanity to explore apart from comparison’s dictates. Identification encourages process. Identification promotes self-confidence. Progress rather than perfection is the goal.
Through identification my being, worth and value is not tied to a specific “toy” or outcome. With Identification, I no longer need to keep up with the Jones. I no longer need to chase after external validation. Identification helps me to cease from my striving and rest. Identification dispels my need to judge and gives me permission to take risks. Identification promotes unity. Identification frees me to stay in the moment. Identification motivates me to live life on life’s terms.
Today’s Thought
As I suggested in part 1 of this series I would encourage you to sit down with a piece of paper and pen / pencil. Once you have gotten comfortable, begin writing other cause and effects that you can think of my friend. By doing so I believe you will begin to experience a new freedom and a new happiness.
Once you have written down the cause and effects that you can identify, please write and share them with me. I would love to hear from you my friend. And above all be gentle with your self. You are a blessing to me and you are a blessing to many other people. Do not sell yourself short. And remember, you are a winner.
