Hi, and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am happy you decided to stop by and visit with me. You are a gift to me. Yesterday I attended a function that honored the life of a precious lady who is terminally ill with cancer. Hospice made the arrangements to have her artwork displayed in gallery style at a large church. Once I arrived at the showing I was amazed by the many paintings and collages that represented her life long creative capacity. Several pieces drew my attention, as they showed fine intricate attention to detail. The obvious became apparent. She had spent countless hours with each piece of art. No detail was left unattended. Her creative energy produced many majestic works of art.
After I walked among her artwork I was able to spend some precious moments with this kind hearted humble lady. Although her physical condition was declining, her being exuded peace and joy. She was in her element. She was able to display the product of her creativity. I was so glad that I had taken the time to support my friend and to visit with his mother. Her presence and her artwork were an inspiration to me. I came away from the event feeling blessed in many ways.
Today I have been reflecting upon my time at the art show, but more importantly with the woman who was being honored. I could tell that she invested countless hours into each of her paintings and collages. I was honored to be able to spend some time in her presence. Her creativity is a testament to her life. Although her life is coming to a close, her creative energy will continue to live through her artwork and the pleasant memories that she created. Thank you Mrs. H.
