Living with the impact of a brain injury can lead the individual to turn inward the lack of understanding shown to us by family and friends. In our anguish, we may find ourselves joining in with chorus of voices that diminish and devalue who we are as individuals. In the process, we may become our own enemy. In our attempts to justify, answer, defend and explain ourselves we may find that our time, energy and resources are depleted.
As a result we may have no idea who we are as individuals living with brain injuries. In this eBook I share what helped me to stop joining in with the chorus of individuals who could or would not accept who I am as an individual living with a brain injury. What I share in this eBook helped me to grow in awareness so that I could stop fighting against myself. What I share in this eBook helped me to stop being my enemy, so that I could begin to create a life for myself.
