Recently, I listened to a motivational speaker. He spoke about the concept of “I AM”. As I listened I was reminded that “I AM” what I determine to believe about myself. “I AM” also what I determine to believe about what other people may want me to believe about me.

“Don’t judge your day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” Robert Louis Stevenson
Not that I have arrived, but that I continue to press on to trust the process, a loving God and my ability to learn from the process. Not that I have arrived, but each day I continue to invite a loving God into my life to guide and direct my life.
“Never quit believing that you can develop in life. Never give up. Don’t deny the inward spirit that provides the drive to accomplish great things in life.” Jon Huntsman, Sr.
Not that I have arrived, but that I continue to move in the direction of achieving the ends that “I AM” capable of achieving with my life. Capable of achieving one step, one skill and one skill set at a time. Not that I have arrived, but I determine to press on one day at a time.
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Mark Twain
Because I know that I am the only one who needs to “get it” to accept who”I AM”, I am aware. I am aware of individuals who minimize, marginalize, dismiss, and discount me. I am aware that I no longer have to limit myself because of their minimization, marginalization, dismissing and discounting.
“Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture… Do not build up obstacles in your imagination.” Norman Vincent Peale
With my awareness, I determine to keep the focus on myself to be who “I AM”. I determine to use my gifts, talents and abilities in ways that work for me. With my awareness, I realize that by being who “I AM” I can not fail to succeed. By being who “I AM” I no longer have to have to limit myself.
“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” Zig Ziglar
Because I realize that I was born to win — to be a winner — “I AM” determined to plan to win. I am determined to do what it takes to win. Therefore, I plan to, prepare to and expect to win. Because “I AM” a winner I determine to not give up on the process, a loving God or myself.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Once we take the first step and we keep walking before long we will be able to look back and see how far we have come because we did not give up.” Craig J. Phillips MRC, BA
I determine to win because I know that more will be revealed to me with time. The pieces of the puzzle will come together at the right time and in the right order.
