Over the past 6 or so months the YMCA, where I workout, has been going through a renovation. These renovations began in the men’s locker room in the past couple of days.
During a conversation, yesterday, another member asked me what I thought about the changes in the locker room. What came to mind for me and what I shared with him was, “Accept and Adapt”.
I went on to share with him that when I Accept and Adapt I am Much Happier.
Today is September 14, 2018 Friday. The Hurricane is on the move toward Charlotte, NC where I live. Because I do not know if we will lose power,
I wanted to create this video presentation in advance to share the information within the article with individuals who learn through watching and listening.
Because it is dark outside, the video presentation is also dark, which is out of my control. Thank you for understanding.
Yesterday, I published the article, When I Accept and Adapt to What I Can Not Change I am Happier. To offer the information within my articles to individuals who learn through watching and listening I create video presentations of my articles.

Hi I am totally with you. I have an acquired brain injury since August 2000 as I had a cardiac arrest. I didn’t know that I had a brain injury until I struggled to complete my university degree. I managed to get jobs but could not hold it for more than three months. That is when I I knew that something was wrong with me. I mean my brain. To make the long story short, I learned that I have an acquired brain injury. Since then, denial, acceptance has been with me. Anyway thank you for your website. The story which I read on your website resembles so much of my story. Thank you again.

Hi Jahyi,
I understand, I believe. Took me a very long time to be able to face and confront my denial, because I looked normal and was able to do many things well — after much tenacity, hard work, and determination. Jahyi. As you may have read I created Second Chance to Live on February 6, 2007. Since that time I have written articles, created video presentations, slide shows and posters as well as eBooks. I have put my articles in different formats to present the information in different formats for people who learn in different ways. In the process, I created a list of resources. Below is a link to my resource pages, Jahyi. Click on the link to open the page. There is a list of links to the resources offered on Second Chance to Live. Let me know if the Resources help you in your brain injury recovery process. Please feel free to share these resources, Jahyi. Any questions please ask. All questions are good questions and welcomed.

I will say so long for now. Thank you for leaving a comment. It is good to know that we are not alone.
Have a great day.
