“Have you ever struggled with a fear of failure? Do you feel that your efforts are not good enough? I have my friend. But the good new is that we win by not giving up.
They win because they do not give up!
The Olympic Games Rio 2016 began earlier this week. I, like many have been watching the games. I have been interested in seeing who will win the gold, silver and bronze medals in each event.
As I watch the games, I see a lifetime of preparation on display to be judged in a brief moment in time.
The message conveyed is that those who do not qualify for the finals or win a medal are somehow lacking. That they have somehow failed.
A message conveyed to those who watch those who compete in the Olympic games is that apart from being perfect, they too will fail.
But as I thought about these underlying and unspoken messages I thought about another message that needed to be embraced. All who compete in the games and those who watch win because they choose to not give up.
And so it is for those of us who are living with the impact of a brain injury. Through not giving up on the process, a loving God or ourselves, we are guaranteed to win.
Overcoming a Fear of Failure

The power to impact our life and the lives of those around us. In today’s article, I would like to speak to something that got in my way for many years. A fear of failure. To be honest with you, I still struggle at times with a fear of failure. But the good news is that I am now aware. In this article, I would like to share with you some information that has and continues to help me to overcome my fear of failure.”
