Inconvenience and Possibilities
Due to a series of events, that were out of my control, I recently had to do some thing over. I did not like the inconvenience, but had no other choice. In the process of preparing to have a quality control inspection I did some tiding up. In the process, I realized that it was in my best interest to replace the shower curtain in my bathroom. I did not need to change the shower curtain, but decided to do so to avoid further possible aggravation, if the inspector was very picky.
Awareness, Acceptance, and Action
So last weekend I looked for shower curtains at both Target and Walmart. I found one that I liked and the price, at Walmart for $7.58; and bought the shower curtain. Little did I realize at the time that I was about to see a “silver lining”.
When I decided upon and bought the shower curtain I had no idea how the new shower curtain would enhance my bathroom and shower experience. After getting it home, I replaced the old shower curtain with the new shower cushion. After hanging I noticed something that enhanced the shower curtain’s value to me. Light reflected through the curtain with a prism affect. Unlike the old shower curtain, the new shower curtain provided a cathartic effect.
Lesson Reinforced
The experience with the new shower curtain reinforced a lesson. Although I did not like the inconvenience of the quality control inspection, a silver lining appeared to me. Although I did not like the inconvenience of the quality control inspections I realized that I do not have to spend a lot of money to enhance my quality of life.
Dark Clouds and Silver Linings
In life you may be confronted with inconveniences. Those inconveniences may appear to you as dark clouds. My encouragement to you, as I need to remember; is to look for silver linings among your dark clouds and inconvenience. Look for the benefits and the opportunities that your inconvenience provides. See your dark clouds and inconveniences in a different light. Look for ways to enhance your quality of life because of the inconvenience. See your dark clouds and inconveniences as a set ups, not a set backs in your life.
