Summary
The information that I share cover strategies and solutions for overcoming obstacles and adversity. The solutions and the strategies found with in Second Chance to Live can be used by anyone. In my experience I have benefited from the principles and strategies shared through out Second Chance to Live through hard work, persistence and tenacity. The benefits gained have not come “over night” but have developed over an extended period of time, through rigorous application. In my experience, I have found that there is no substitution for time, hard work and attention to detail.
There are NO easy solutions, no “silver bullets” or magic potions. Recovery just takes what it takes, but the benefits are well worth the struggle. The struggle to succeed and learn how to use what works for us. The struggle to run our own race and not judge our efforts. To stay committed to our course. To stay commitment to the process of finding out what will work best for us in our particular set of circumstances.
Second Chance to Live could be categorized as “Self-Help“, however not considered a “Quick Fix“. Recovery just takes time, effort and not giving up, when to do so would be much easier. The benefits that I share throughout my 1500 articles, my 290 you tube video presentation and 7 e Books are a guide and a resource. A guide and a resource to help identify what may be getting in the way of one’s recovery process. Recovery for me is an ongoing process. Recovery for me means that I do not give up. Recovery for me means that I run my own race, not some one else’s race. Recovery for me means staying committed to my process and my journey.

Below are several reflections by readers of Second Chance to Live.
How Second Chance to Live has helped me: I am a follower of Craig’s information and support and help on Brain Injury for more than 2 years. His website to me is like a loving neighbor that is there to help, and the best part is the understanding of the struggles we go through, because he is a fellow survivor. So many times I would open his e-mail (email subscription to his website containing his next article) and it would hit “home” to the exact struggle I was experiencing. thus making me feel so much better…. Second Chance to Live is a support group at your finger tips. Thank you Craig, Linda S.
“Craig’s message is universal. “You can find your way thru tragedy and build a new life.” It may not be the life you had before, but Craig’s message of hope, empowerment and love can help you discover your second chance to live – and live well. I am grateful for Craig’s beautiful writings. They inspire me and bring me comfort. As a speaker, Craig, speaks from the heart and is a living testament to his message. I am honored to know and learn from Craig Phillips.” Viki K.
“You are an enthusiast. Advocating for all people, with an emphasis on brain injury rehabilitation and skill-building. Someone who understands brain injury–working as a voice for those without their own words. An educator, who can see from a unique perspective how we are all different, sharing ways we could connect based on our quirks, as well as our similarities. That’s how I describe you.” Jess P.
“Your perspective as someone who has been living with a brain injury since childhood offers people with brain injuries information, in bite size pieces; they can digest to better understand some of the issues they might be dealing with. As you know, there is no road map to recovery from a brain injury and not every person with a brain injury is the same. We all have to deal with many of the same issues differently. Seeing that you are dealing with them too, and figuring out your own way; helps to break down isolation and offer hope for a better day. With hard work and determination anything is possible. You have proven this with your tenacity to not give up and because of this are an example of neuroplasticity at work. Good job Craig, you are a shining light along the path of brain injury recovery!” Ken C.
