My name is Craig Phillips and I would like to be of service to you. On August 11, 1967, I sustained an open skull fracture in a motor vehicle accident with right frontal lobe damage, a severe brain bruise with brain stem involvement. Following the accident, I remained in a coma for 3 weeks and in a full body cast (for a fractured left femur for 5 months. Living with a brain injury can erode hope. On February 6, 2007, I created Second Chance to Live to share my recovery process through my experience, strength and hope to live with a brain injury and an invisible disability over the past 47 years.
Following a brain injury, many questions arise with too few answers. Through my 47 years in my recovery process, I have been able to answer some of the questions that individuals living brain injuries ask.
To be of service, I would like to offer Second Chance to Live, as a resource. The resource that I am offering is without cost to you and can be accessed through articles that I write and the video presentations that I create for Second Chance to Live. In my recovery process, I discovered that I needed to and continue to need to recover as an individual living with the impact of a brain injury. In my recovery process, I discovered that I needed to heal my mind, body, spirit and emotions. In the event that you would like to read about my process and journey, click on this link: About page.
