Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am happy to have you around my table. Thank you. I have been thinking about an article that I wrote in March of 2007, The Flight of the Butterfly. In that article I shared about the stages in the metamorphosis of the larva, pupa, into the caterpillar to become a butterfly.
What I shared in the article was meant to present a principle. In the final stage of the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into the butterfly struggle is involved. With out the struggle, the wings of the butterfly would not be strengthened. With out the butterfly struggling to break free from the cocoon, its wings would not be strengthened enough to be able to fly.
As I live my life, I realize that with out struggle I would not be strengthened. I would not be able to “fly”. I would not be able to take advantage of opportunities. Consequently, I need to remember that all struggle is meant for my good and not for my harm. Struggle is meant to strengthen me; to equip me to see and move beyond what I can not currently comprehend.
My struggle is meant to empower me, not defeat me.
In life you may find yourself struggling with something. Be encouraged my friend. What you are struggling with is meant for your good, not for your harm. Your struggle is preparing you to take advantage of opportunities. Your struggle is being used to strengthen you. Your struggle is equipping you to see and move beyond what you can not currently comprehend.
Your struggle is meant to empower you, not to defeat you.
