Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. Thank you. I have not written and published an article on Second Chance to Live since the 14th of this month, July. The reason being is that I have been working on developing a power point presentation of the guest speaking that I did in Anchorage, Alaska and Seattle, Washington, as suggested by several people in my audiences.
Currently, I do not have any keynote or workshop opportunities scheduled, but I have spent the time to be ready for such opportunities. I am not sure when I will be contacted and asked to speak, but I have done the work to prepare during the course of the past 60 or 70 hours. I am not finished designing the power point presentation, but I am getting closer to having a presentation that will serve to provide encouragement, motivation, empowerment and hope.
Today’s thought
In the event that you have some dream, but do not see how that dream is going to take shape, be encouraged. Do the footwork and let go of the outcomes. Trust that the pieces of your footwork will come together at the right time and in the right order. Below are several quotes that I share as part of my power point presentation. These quotes have and continue to encourage me as I prepare for the opportunities to take shape as I follow my dreams.
“I will prepare and someday my chance will come.” Abraham Lincoln
“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life that you imagined, you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau
“Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along which comes the inner voice which says, ‘This is the real me’ and when you have found that attitude, follow it.” James Trusdale Adams
“Don’t judge your day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” Robert Louis Stevenson
“Our circumstances are not meant to keep us down, but they are meant to build us up.” Craig J. Phillips
“Dreams do not vanish, as long as people do not abandon them.” Phantom F. Harlock
“Things turn out best for people who make the best out of the way things turn out.” Anonymous
“Regardless of your lot in life, you can build some thing beautiful on it.” Zig Ziglar
“You don’t have to be a person of influence to be influential. In fact the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things that they have taught me.” Scott Adams – American Cartoonist
“Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless and add specifically your own.” Bruce Lee
“Insist on yourself, never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another you only have an extemporaneous half possession…Do that which is assigned to you and you can not hope too much or dare too much.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
“History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats.” B.C. Forbes
