Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. On February 6, 2007 at the encouragement of a friend, I took the risk to create a weblog and I named that web log, Second Chance to Live. Today marks the 7th year anniversary of the web log that I created: Second Chance to Live.
For many years I felt like some one all dressed up with no where to go. No one wanted what I had to give although I diligently applied myself both academically and vocationally. Consequently, I spent many years of my life feeling minimized, marginalized, dismissed and discounted. But I am glad that I did not give up.
Although I am a traumatic brain injury survivor, I am not my traumatic brain injury. I am not limited because I have deficits and limitations. Rather I am empowered because I have found and accepted what does not work for me. I am empowered to succeed, by using what works for me.
Although I did not know where Second Chance to Live would lead 6 years ago, I am glad that I did kept using my gifts, talents and abilities in ways that work for me. As I have written articles and created video presentations I have learned things about myself and have in turn shared them with you.
“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life that you have imagined…you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau
During the past 72 month Second Chance to Live has been honored in many ways, as I have sought to be of service. To see a list of some of these honors click on this link Publications and Honors I share these honors with you to encourage you – if you feel like no one wants what you have to give.
Do not give up on yourself, your process, your dreams or your destiny my friend. More will be revealed to you in time. The pieces of the puzzle will come together – for both you and myself – at the right time and in the right order. Our best days are out in front of us. Trust a loving God to guide you.
“Insist on yourself, never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another you have only an extemporaneous half-possession…Do that which is assigned to you and you can not hope too much or dare too much.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
You have my permission to share my articles and or video presentations with anyone you believe could benefit, however, please attribute me as being the author of the article (s) video presentation (s), and provide a link back to the article (s) on Second Chance to Live. In the event that you have questions, please send those questions to me. All questions are good questions. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you. Copyright 2016.
