Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I am happy to see that you decided to stop by to visit with me. Thank you. During the past several weeks I have been thinking about some thing that has energized my process. As I have shared many times on Second Chance to Live, I believe that our circumstances are not meant to keep us down, but they are meant to build us up. I arrived at this belief, based on seeing how past circumstances – even the ones that I did not like, understand or appreciate at the time – had been used collectively to prepare and point me in the direction of my destiny. With my belief, I found that I could trust the process, a loving God and myself.
As I have learned how to trust the process, a loving God and myself, my perspective of life has changed.
Prior to my change of belief, I viewed life’s experiences as a series of gauntlets. With my belief, came the struggle to survive what occurred in my life. In my belief system, I maintained an overdeveloped sense of responsibility – which drained both my time and energy. With my belief system, I sought to satisfy the belief system that other people had for my life. With my belief system, I saw what occurred in my life as some thing to be endured and hopefully survived. With my belief system, I lived with a sense of dread, instead of anticipating that my day would be filled with wonder. With my belief system, I saw life as being done to me, instead of being done for me.
I am so glad that I had a change in my belief system and in the way in which I perceive events in my life.
I am so glad that I can now live my life as an actor, instead of as a reactor to what occurs in my life. I am so glad that I can live my life with anticipation, instead of in dread. I am so glad that I can see what occurs in my life as an adventure, instead of as some thing to be endured. I am so glad that I can look at my circumstances through the eyes of wonder, instead of through the eyes of anguish. I am so glad that I can live my life as an experiment, instead of feeling like I am an experiment. I am so glad that I can live my life as an empowered being, instead of living my life in fear and insecurity. I am so glad that I can live my life in freedom, instead of being afraid to live my life.
I am so glad that I can live my life as an actor, with anticipation and wonder. I am so glad that I can live my life as an experiment with a spirit of adventure. I am so glad that I can live my life as an empowered being.
Today’s Thought
We no longer have to live our lives as reactors. We no longer have to live our lives in dread. We no longer have to live our lives in anguish. We no longer have to live our lives as an experiment. We no longer have to live our lives in fear and insecurity. We no longer have to be afraid to live our lives.
Instead, we can live our lives as actors, with wonder and adventure. We can live our lives as an experiment, with a spirit of curiosity and anticipation. We can live our lives as empowered beings, benefited by what we encounter. We can live our lives with freedom by trusting the process, a loving God and ourselves.
