Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. During the course of my life I have come to certain conclusions. One of these conclusions is that I am not fulfilled by casual conversation (s) which do not involve substance. With my awareness, have come to realize that I am not going to be fulfilled in some social settings and with certain groups of people.
To expect to find fulfillment in some social settings and with certain groups of people – no judgment on the settings or the people – can be likened to going to a hardware store looking to find bread. With my awareness, I am able to make better decisions.
When I expect someone to give to me what I need to do for myself, I set myself up to be disappointed, discouraged, disillusioned and resentful. Consequently – when expectations arise – I need to be the one who examines my expectations. I need to be honest with myself, rather than projecting my expectations onto another person. Through being honest with myself, I find that I am able to be present for myself.
My experience has shown that many times my expectations are a cry for some one to do for me, what I need to do for myself — with the help of a loving God.
With my awareness, I have come to realize that I need to be true to myself. At these time I need to ask myself several questions. “How I can I be responsible for my expectations?”, “How I can be empowered by and with in my expectations?” , “What choices can I make to meet my own needs presented by my expectations?”and “How can I use my frustration to empower my process?”.
By taking the time to answer these question, I am able to own my expectations, instead of allowing my expectations to own me. By owning my expectations, I am able to make better decisions and in the process own my life.

“Insist on yourself, never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another, you only have an extemporaneous half-possession…Do that which is assigned to you and you can not hope too much or dare too much.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
