Through my recovery process, I discovered a stark reality. By judging my insides by other people’s outsides I minimize and marginalize myself in both my eyes and in the eyes of other people. I continued to berate myself until — through my recovery process — I began to realize what I was doing to myself. Nearly three years ago I published an article that I wrote for Second Chance to Live. In that article I shared what I learned through my process. I will share that article with you over the next several parts of this article.
