Please read Part 1 and Part 2 for context. Thank you.
“Insist on yourself, never imitate. Your own gift you can present with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another you have only an extemporaneous half – possession…Do that which is assigned to you and you can not hope too much or dare too much.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
And so let me encourage you — as my friend encouraged me. Begin to share your experience, strength and hope — with the people in your world — in ways that work for you. Commit yourself to the journey and do not worry about the process. The process will take care of itself. More will be revealed to you. You will learn — as I have with Second Chance to Live — as you go.
And remember you alone “can present the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation. Do that which is assigned to you and you can not hope too much or dare too much.
“My mother said to me, “If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.” Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso.” Pablo Picasso
Be yourself! You are an answer to someone’s prayers.
