Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. I am so happy to see that you decided to stop by and visit with me. You are always welcome at my table. Thank you for being here. I have been thinking about 2 simple signs. The Plus sign (+) and the Negative sign (-).
With this in mind I am reminded that I have the power to choose. The power to choose the sign.
Through my experience I have discovered that when I look at life through the negative sign I set myself up to believe I am a victim. A victim of my circumstances — to be tossed here and there by my circumstances — apart from any hope, reason or purpose.
In contrast when I am looking for the plus sign I find strength, encouragement and hope. By doing so I allow the plus sign to teach me wonderful lessons. The plus sign teaches me to trust. The plus sign assures me that my circumstance are not meant to hold me down. Instead the plus sign teaches me that my circumstances are meant to empower my process.
The plus sign teaches me to learn the lesson. The plus sign shows me how to use my opportunities. The plus sign points me in the direction of my destiny.
The plus sign thus gives me zeal for living and keeps me from “shoulding” on myself. The plus sign allows me to have a learning curve. The plus sign motivates me to look for solutions and possibilities. The plus sign teaches me to relax because I do not have to be perfect. The plus sign gives me the freedom to explore and to take risks.
The plus sign empowers me to live in the moment. The plus sign teaches me that I can trust the process, a loving God and myself. The plus sign teaches me to look for miracles as they occur in and around my life. The plus sign teaches me to use my gifts, talents and abilities in ways that work for me. The plus sign allows me to be me.
The plus sign teaches me to succeed one step, one circumstance at a time. The plus + sign teaches me to not give up on the process, on a loving God or on myself. The plus sign gives me the power to try once again.
“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life that you have imagined…You will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau
