Craig, I have read a little or your blog (this evening) and listened to the interview w/ Laura. Good for you! I am 57 and got hit in the head by a tree branch 2 years ago. I am not the same, do have limitations, but, I would have to also say that it is not all bad. I am somewhat at the beginning stages of becoming who I want to be and I believe who I am meant to be. I have attempted to convey this to one or two friends & I realize that they absolutely do not get it. You do. I know you do. I have also learned so very much that I should have learned so many times before. Like I say, it is not all bad. Anyway, I look forward to reading what you have to say. I have never responded to a blog. Do you even get this??? Anyway, May God Bless you. Gail

Hi Gail,
Thank you so very much for taking the time to leave a comment. I am honored by your kindness. Thank you for sharing your struggles with me. You are not alone. I completely understand what you are talking about in your comment. I have been there too!!! I bought into denial systems for many years.
I have written to the matter of living with a disability in many of my articles. You may find some solace in reading several of those articles.

In my experience I have found that ultimately I need to be true to myself, because there are very few people that care to or able to get it because of the invisible nature of my disability Gail. You are doing great work and I commend you for reaching out to me. You are a champion.
I have written a 7 part series on Traumatic Brain Injury and the Grieving Process. I would encourage you to read through my series. I had to grieve the losses associated with my traumatic brain injury before I could begin to be able to look for solutions. I will include the links to the series below. I hope the information helps you my friend.
