Traumatic Brain Injury and Providence — Part 1
Traumatic Brain Injury and Providence — Part 2
I believe that the circumstances created through my being a traumatic brain injury survivor has provided me with a unique set of learning opportunities. These learning opportunities have spanned over the past 41 years of my life. Apart from being a traumatic brain injury survivor, who has lived with an invisible disability I would be unable to share from my unique learning opportunities. Consequently, Second Chance to Live probably would never have been created. My setbacks — over the course of time – have been preparing me to share from my experience, strength and hope. What appeared to be for my harm over the years has provided an opportunity to learn and grow because I am a traumatic brain injury survivor. I now understand what I could not perceive at the time. My past learning opportunities have been meant for my good – not for my harm — to give me a future and a hope. My destiny has evolved out of the providence predestined through my years living with an invisible disability, even before I was able to accept my disability.
Today’s Thought
My friend, you may not understand how your present circumstances are providing providence for you. Please let me encourage you to believe because I believe. As we trust the process, a loving God and our ability to learn because of our circumstances we can have assurance. We are being prepared to live the life we have imagined. Our toil is not in vain. Our struggles are empowering you and I to be like the butterfly that frees itself from its cocoon. Our wings are being strengthened. Our wings will enable you and I to fly the course that providence has for us. What was meant for our harm will be used for our good to give us a future and a hope.
