Hi, and welcome back to Second Chance to Live. I hope you are doing well and enjoying your holiday season. I am getting ready to leave to be with my family for Christmas and New Years. As I wrote in, Hello World, my Dad passed away on January 10th earlier this year. The holiday season will subsequently be both a joyful time as my Mom, brother, his wife and I spend time together and yet a sad time because of my Dad’s passing.
Due to circumstances that are out of my control, I may not have access to a computer or the time to create and publish material for Second Chance to Live during the holidays. I plan to be back on my computer creating on January 4, 2008. I want to thank you for being a part of my life in 2007. You have been a tremendous blessing to me. Your loyalty and kindness have been greatly appreciated in 2007.
You are and have been a gift to me. Thank you. Thank you so very much for leaving your comments. Your encouragement and identification have been an inspiration to me. I look forward to continuing to grow and mature through our relationship in 2008. I believe you and I will learn to experience life more fully through our being, rather than through our doing in 2008.
Until then I will say so long for now. I look forward to seeing you back around my table in 2008.
May God richly bless both you and your family during the Holiday Season.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Craig

I’m sure it will be very different not having your father around for the Christmas/New Year holidays. But—as with my grandfather who passed away last year, we will tell many wonderful stories about him and what an impact he has had on our life.
Our family will have a very different Christmas, as we will be spending it at the VA hospital in Palo Alto where my son-in-law (US Marine Corps) is recovering very slowly from TBI. It is a long road, but I believe we have learned that Christmas is not about the material gifts we wrap, but the gifts we have in each other.
Have a merry Christmas Craig!
