Welcome back. I am glad you stopped by to rest. I have used this opening, “I am glad you stopped by to rest” for many of my posts. I believe that when I rest, I am able to accept myself. When I accept myself, I am able to live in the moment. And when I live in the moment, I live life on life’s terms. As I live life on life’s terms, I am able to receive and accept that I am right where I am supposed to be. By accepting the reality of this present moment, I am able to seize the moment. Through seizing the moment, I embrace freedom. When I am free, I create.
The beauty inherent in this awareness honors me, as I honor the moment. I am not limited by the moment, but I am free to be in the moment. My moment does not change me. What changes me in the moment is how I create with my moment. My disability does not change my moment. My use of the moment changes my disability. Therefore, I am not limited by the moment, but how I chose to use my moment.
Doing is very different than being. You and I are a being, not a doing.
My disability may alter my moments, but I am not my disability. My disability may change how I use my moment, but I am not my limitation. Your disability may have changed how you use your moment, but you are not your limitation. Our abilities may change, but we are not our abilities. As we accept ourselves for who we are–not our limitations, deficits, or disabilities– we can stay in the moment. The moment becomes our friend and we are free to create with our being.
